It's Parade of Homes time!

This 5,300-square-foot Toll Brothers-built home in Weddington's Bromley Estates is part of the Parade of Homes 2016.

Shopping for a new home or doing some homework researching builders? You can do it all and ooh and aah over dream homes, too. Charlotte's Parade of Homes begins Oct. 7 and runs for the next 2 weekends through Oct. 23.

There is no charge to tour new homes for sale, model homes or the communities if you are looking for the perfect spot to build a home.

Map your tour route using the site's selection tool of the homes you want to see and get ready to window shop in some of Charlotte's newest and nicest neighborhoods. More than 70 homes will be available to tour spread across the greater Charlotte area.

Twenty builders will be represented on the tour, including Alan Simonini Homes, Bonterra Builders, David Weekley, Saussy Burbank and Toll Brothers.

Prices for the homes on tour range from $200,000 to more than $1 million.

Some of the communities represented in Waxhaw are Cureton, Oak Grove Estates, Lawson, and Rosecliff. Weddington communities on the tour are Highclere, Bromley Estates Lake Forest Preserve. In the South Charlotte area, tourgoers can see homes in Waverly and Sonoma.

There are homes scattered about the greater Charlotte area, including in the Lake Norman and Lake Wylie areas.

Tour dates are as follows: Oct. 7-9, 14-16 and 21-23. Hours are 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Sundays.

For a complete map of homes and list of homes on the tour, see the Parade of Homes Charlotte site. The tour is hosted by the Home Builders Association of Greater Charlotte.
