The booming South Charlotte market has grown up around the Landen Meadows neighborhood, one of the first built in the South Charlotte/Ballantyne area, landing it right in the middle of some of the area's best schools, shopping and amenities.

Built in the 1990s by Crosland (now Centex), Landen Meadows is located off Rea Road near Ardrey Kell Road just across from Blakeney Shopping Center.

Landen Meadows' central South Charlotte location allows for easy travel to most of the city. Rea, Johnston and Providence roads are just minutes away and are major thoroughfares for moving about town.

Uptown Charlotte is approximately 20 miles from Landen Meadows, and SouthPark is only 10 miles away. Depending on the route, a commute into the metro area could take 40 to 50 minutes. The Charlotte Douglas airport is 25 miles away.

Resident amenities include a pool, 2 tennis courts, a basketball court and playground.

Homes in Landen Meadows are traditional ranch and 2-story residences with vinyl siding or a mix of stone veneer and vinyl siding. Home sizes are approximately 1,200 square feet to more than 2,100 square feet. Sales prices in the last year ranged from low $200,000s to low $300,000s.

Twenty-five homes sold in the last 12 months in Landen Meadows for an average sales price of $260,324 and $125 per square foot. Sales prices averaged more than 99% of list price. Many of the homes sold at or above list price.

There are currently 4 homes listed for sale in Landen Meadows. Two homes are under contract as of Dec. 12. List prices range from $225,000 to $275,000.

Children living in Landen Meadows currently attend Hawk Ridge Elementary School, Community House Middle School and Ardrey Kell High School.
